എം നൗഷാദ് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം അന്തരിച്ച ഐറിഷ് പോപ്പ് ഗായികയും ഗാനരചയിതാവും ആക്റ്റിവിസ്റ്റുമായിരുന്ന സിനിയഡ് ഒ കൊണർ പാടി അനശ്വരമാക്കിയ ഗാനമാണ് Nothing Compares to You. പ്രണയ നഷ്ടത്തിന്റെ തീവ്രവും ഹൃദയഭേദകവുമായ ആവിഷ്‌കാരമെന്ന നിലയിൽ പാശ്ചാത്യലോകമെമ്പാടും ജനകീയമായി മാറിയ ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ മൂലരചന നടത്തിയത് ഐതിഹാസിക അമേരിക്കൻ സംഗീതജ്ഞനായിരുന്ന പ്രിൻസ് ആണ്. പ്രിൻസുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം ഊഷ്‌മളമൊന്നുമായിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മരണശേഷം കുറേക്കാലത്തേക്ക് സിനിയഡ് ഈ പാട്ട് വേദികളിൽ പാടാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. ഇതിന്റെ പ്രഥമ വീഡിയോ റെക്കോർഡിങ് വേളയിൽ പാടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ കണ്ണീരൊഴുകിയത് ശരിക്കും കരഞ്ഞുപോയതാണെന്നും തന്നെ സംബന്ധിച്ച്
